The boys crossed the city limit of Jena at about 12:40 p.m. On the dashboard a cake with an arrow “Jena 42,714.1km” on it, so they have quite a bit to go before they will be back here.
The cake was a gift for O.F., which he got before they left.

At 2:00 p.m. I was talking to them on the phone, when they were just about to leave Thuringia. But the traffic jam made it impossible to leave and that right before the historical border between GDR and Ger close to Hof.

First stop was in Bayreuth to change the cassette deck at the service station of the electronic store “Expert”, so that with the help of adaptors they were now able to hear any kind of music.

Next stop was a roadhouse just before Munich, where they watched the EM soccer game
Germany vs. Latvia.

Holgi, the guy who bet against the on time return, will be quite happy to read this. Already 15 minutes late at the start and now another 90 minutes, if you project this… has he won already??

The last stop was 12:57 a.m. and now already at the border Austria to Slovenia!
